Introduced in 1975 and in production until 1996, the XJS was initially met with mixed reactions due to its departure from the E-Type's classic design. However, it eventually won acclaim for its unique style and impressive performance, particularly in its V12 variants.

 

At the heart of the XJS V12 models was Jaguar's renowned 5.3-liter V12 engine, which was later upgraded to a 6.0-liter version in the 1990s.
